The Family
This page is about me and my family. To begin with, it consists of my dad Anton, my mom Betty and my brother Igor. And of course, myself. We also have some pets. One of them is our 15 year old cat, Nicky. And since October 4th 1997 we have a Labrador dog. (black) Her name is Cindy. . I also have a bird, it is a mini parrot. He is 6 years old and his name is Dino. That is where my nickname came from. And since September 1999 I also have a dwarf Rabbit, Shiva.
This is me, I was about 17, now I'm 20.
After I had lived on my own for about a year, I came back to live at home again. I was at nursing school in Harderwijk, but I had to stop the course. I could stay until the end of December 1998, but then I had to go. Now I am working in a hospital in Almere, called Flevoziekenhuis. They pay me to learn to be a nurse... :-))
Since September 1998 I have my driver's license. Which is very nice, if I have to go somewhere I am able to take the car if my dad doesn't need it. And since January this year I have my own car, which I'm very proud of! In my spare time I like to spend time behind my PC, to work on my homepage, write letters to my friends or play computer games. About 2-3 times a week I play badminton, or go for a run. I also like to read, especially the medical thrillers and horrors. My favorite writers are Stephen King, Robin Cook and Michael Palmer. My mom has a lot of books, mostly from these writers, so I have a lot to read. And I like to take the dog for a long walk in the woods, play with her and try to learn her some things. I also go to obedience classes with her. She already past two, and I don't know how, because she doesn't listen that well!

Luckily, she sat very still.
Cindy is a supporter of wildlife at risk, because she doesn't want these animals to be extinct.
Then we have my parents. My mom works at a beatiful interior decoration store. She is the chief there. She sells al kinds of furniture. Real nice stuff they have there! In her spare time she also likes to be behind her pc. she also has her own homepage. She also likes to read, that's why she has so many books. My father works in the house since about a year or two. From the four of us he spends the less time behind a pc. He plays a game sometimes, but he rather watch a good movie.

This is my dad in the shop visiting my brother. And he couldn't help himself, he had to make the photo.
Then there is my brother Igor. Sometimes he's online, but didn't make a homepage for himself yet. His hobby is photographing, and that takes up most of his spare time. He works in the same place as my mom, he is a sales man. He is our family photographer, and he really makes nice photo's.

When our first dog, Elsa, passed away, Nicky had a really hard time, like the rest of us. They grew up together, and were the best of friends. The cat even washed Elsa's ears if he thought they weren't clean enough. Unfortunately he doesn't like Cindy very much. Lately it is getting better, but he still slams his paw in Cindy's nose. But sometimes they are laying next to each other, sleeping. We have very weird pets.
This is our former dog, Elsa. We had to put her to sleep on June 20th, 1997. She was very sick and could hardly walk. Despite our grief, we know she has a good time and isn't in pain anymore. And we know that she is waiting for us at the
And this is my little bird Dino. I've had him since he was an egg. My parents had his parents (get it? LOL) As I said, he is about 6 years old, an because he is related to the parrot he can get very old. He isn't wild anymore, but sometimes he dislikes people and then he bites. His favorite food is potato chips. When I eat them and he hears that, he can get really mad and make a lot of noise until he gets some too!
Dino also supports this group, because he feels that they are his family, and he is afraid that he will be extinct one day too!
Since september 1999 I also have a rabbit. It was suppossed to be a dwarf rabbit with hanging ears. Well, she has the hanging ears, but she doesn't look like a dwarf rabbit anymore.... Her name is Shiva. I took some pictures from her, they will be online very soon. She is the youngest member of the family, and lets us now that! She makes a noise when she is in her "house" And when I have her in the garden she will not come back untill she feels like it!
This is Cindy when she was about 4 weeks old. Isn't she adorable??????
She came about 8 weeks after she was born. She isn't the adorable little puppy she was that time, but a small calf of 30 kilos. But she still is very sweet, and even gives kisses if you ask her. We also brush her teeth, and she loves it. We even bought special toothpaste for dogs, but she doesn't want that, she wants the toothpaste we use. Every time someone is brushing his teethe she comes to you and stare at you untill you give in and do hers to. And after that she will rinse her mouth at the tap.
