Raijen @ 28 Weeks

Raijen had a great 4 weeks. He received some new toys to play with. This is a cable spool that our neighbor gave us. Raijen decided that he wanted to look like the trained tigers, so he gave it his best shot. His best friend Yo-Yo wanted to try also and he did a pretty good job. Raijen supervised his actions.
Raijen met another new friend. His name is Joshua. He had come to our house to have his head shaved. After his head was shaved, I put some aftershave lotion on it. Well Raijen decided that he liked that smell. Joshua had a good time with Raijen rubbing all over his head. Joshua was not to sure about a bobcat being on his head, but everything was okay.

We had a new expierence with Raijen. I did not know that when his new adult teeth started growing in that he would also keep his baby fangs. Well for a couple of weeks Raijen had double fangs on top and bottom. He was nicknamed vampire kitty for those weeks. His baby fangs fell out, and he just has his new adult fangs. I am sorry to say, that I did not get or find any of his baby fangs.

Raijen has gotten alot better on his walks. He is still leary of some things, but on this day, a neighbor boy was outside with a nerf type football. Raijen decided that it was his toy, and went and fetched it. We had to send my daughter to our house and get his shaky toy, so that he would give the young man his fooball back.

I went out and bought Raijen his own football, and in 30 seconds he had destroyed it. So I guess he will not be getting another one of his own. He can play with the neighbor boys.

Raijen likes to go out in our front yard on his walks. Alot of people will drive by and then stop and come to see him. He is pretty good with new people coming up to see him, as long as he is in his own yard. Since it has been cooler in the evenings we have been outside alot with him. He does not seem to mind it. At times he does not want to go back inside the house. We did make it for a walk up to a neighbors house, but we had to bring along Noche ( black lab), so that Raijen would walk, and realize that it was not as scary as he thought. On the walk back home, as soon as Raijen saw his house, he was in a run. He wanted to be back home under no uncertain terms. At least I know that he knows where he lives.

We have tried some different cat food with Raijen to see if he would maintain his weight and activity level. So far he has. We are going to try and feed him twice to three times a day, instead of numerous small meals throughout the day. He still gets his chickcicles, and gizzards as treats. He also gets the domestic cats treat of Pounce at 20:00 each night. Hopefully he will do fine. I have also given him raw chicken legs. He loves them, but I have to make sure he is hungry, so that he does not play with it too long, and get a chance of getting a bad bacteria.

Raijen has decided that he is mad at my roommate. Last time Mike was home, he ate his shirt, well this time he ate his comforter, and then ate a whole in the mattress. I do not know what Mike did to him, or did not do to him, but Raijen is making it perfectly clear, that he is not happy with him.

Raijen enjoyed the cooler weather that arrived this weekend. He was very friskey, maybe a little too friskey. He was romping around the house and went out onto the screened in back porch, at such a speed, that he hit the little cat tree, and went over. Hitting the screen with such force that he went right through it. Well everyone in the house was scrambling to to get outside to retrieve Raijen from the outdoors. Raijen just sat down and waited for someone to come and get him. After that we moved the cat tree, so that Raijen would not try it again. He definitely keeps us on our toes.
