Wide Load !!!

Fatso and Girlie Girl have been with me since August of 1998.  They were my introduction into the world of ferrets !!!  When I moved out of my parents house, I desperately wanted some animals.  I wanted a cat, but my boyfriend is terribly allergic, so he suggested that I get ferrets.  I had never really been exposed to them and, frankly, I was scared of them.  But after only half an hour, I was hooked.  They are so friendly, and constantly entertaining.  Before they came to stay with me, they had moved from home to home so their exact age is not known, but we think they are about 3 or 4 years old.

There's an interesting story that goes along with their names... They were not named when I got them and I couldn't think of anything to name them.  After I had them for a month or so, I called up the vet to make an appointment and they asked me what their names are.  I hadn't though much about it so I said "Uh, well, we usually refer to them as Fatso and Girlie Girl,..."  So now they're officially Fatso and Girlie Girl....

Girlie Girl is the main thief of the household.  She also loves shoes, especially big boots to submerge herself in.  Fatso is a sweetie, he loves to play with my younger ferrets, Bullet, Precious and Baby.

Unfortunately, Fatso died in November, 1999.  We think he had diabetes and possibly cancer.  He was a sweet ferret and will always be loved and remembered.
