The family continues into folks who are still living. I am still seeking information on the Morse Family. Willard Morse has 2 children that married into the family. As specified Mildred was adopted. She was niece of Isabella UPHAM MORSE. She was adopted after the death of Mildred's mother.
Recently I was honored with a gift of an Heirloom belonging to the Morse Family from Belchertown and Ware MA.
It is a hand held fan from 1878 with the dates of June 1, 1878, June 7, 1878 and July 4, 1878. We do not know if it is Chinese or Japense. There is an incredible story that goes with this fan. I would love to know who Kersy or Karsy Morse is ....that is the name on the fan originally. We believe it belonged to her. The fan was in Ware Ma and a present to Gladys Nell Buffington before she left Ware MA for Va. She went to Nursing School in VA. I have the story of Gladys but would love the story going back.
