A green cheek conure, a cockateil and 2 budgies.
My birds are very much
part of my family.
Every day we look forward to being with each other.
Misty the cockateil is my baby.
Punkin the Green Cheek Conure is my husbands bird.
She also loves and adores my son.
Seems she
has taken a liking to males.
Lately I can happily say that
she has begun to tolerate me once again.
When "Daddy" isn't scratching her head,
she will come to see "Mommy."
I have had a bird since 1987
when I had Chippy my bud.
He really made the impression of just
how great having a bird for a pet can be.
When Chippy died in 1992,
it took me 6 years to have a bird of my own again.
We had birds but I really didn't feel
like they were mine so to speak.
Punkin was really the bird that helped my heart recover.
Even tho she isn't as close to me,
it is her personality.
I see how close she is to my husband and was
ready to open my heart again.
Misty, my baby...couldn't have asked for a better bird!
She has her own personality too.
Our new bird Inca...who came home
on February 4th, 2000 has also stolen my heart.
Chippy taught me what true love in a pet really is.
It has been almost 2 years since I started this page.
In the 2 years I have opened my heart once again.
Piglet and Tigger our keets have
well they are very shy and don't really come to us often.
To me that is ok.
I love to hear their sweet singing voices every day!
