Names

Names are very important for pets as well as people, and there are several ways to pick them. You can base a name off your pet's appearance (for example, Sunshine for a lutino [yellow] budgie or Sky for a blue budgie). You can choose the name based on your pet's behavior or a sound that it makes (for example, Clown for a goofy budgie or Twitter for a talkative one). Or you can just pick a name you like, human-style or otherwise. If you have more than one bird, you can give them theme names (Mulder and Scully, Daisy and Rose, etc.)

It might take a few days or even longer to find the right name. Some say that if you give your budgies names with hard consonants such as T or K, they're more likely to learn their names.
