Humane Society

Billary was a very special dog who was one of my best friends for almost 11 years. In June 2003, Billary died of a brain tumor. Billary loved and trusted us. She was truly a good friend and always brought rays of sunshine into our lives. Our special friend lives in our hearts.

Having Billary and her sisters in our lives has truly made a difference for our family.

I encourage you to seriously consider getting a pet for yourself and your family. If you're not sure what kind of dog, or any animal for that matter, to get, you can visit your local animal shelter and humane society. The staff can talk to you about your options as well as the needs of the animals. So you're most likely to get the best match possible -- for the animal as well as yourself. Because these shelters house animals that had to be given up by their owners or had to be rescued from dangerous situations, you'll discover a body of knowledgeable and caring people taking care of these animals. The staff and volunteers also take the time to participate in outreach programs within the community, including pet-therapy assistance. The staff at these shelters try to find all of the animals a good home. So be sure to check out your local animal shelter and humane society today.
