Guinea pigs love to play, run, jump (but not to high) and chase. They are just very active through life. That is why in their cage there should be something for them to play on, in, around. In my hutch (is is a large double outside hutch) I have to doms with enteries in them for them to play in our sleep in. I also have in there a small tiny tin wagon. They love it!!! They run around it, and under. Most of the time they will hop right into it and sit in there as the other one runs around the cage. Guinea piggies though don't like to be copped up in a cage all day so let them out to play. Be careful though. When you let them out to play in the house you have to watch them carefully. Make sure there are no active wires that they could chew on, and also make sure there is no place that they can get hurt, or stuck. I have learned people allow their guinea pigs to roam around the house unattended while they do something eles. I wish I could do that, but I am too afraid they might get hurt, also it would take such a long time to locate them. So inconclusion, have fun with your piggies!!! |
