Sometimes you don't need to have a lot in common to be friends with someone. Sometimes you just are, and you don't ask questions. You are just greatful that fate put this person in your path, and you accept that. Ela is one of those friends.

We met in the fall of 1983 in Grade 8. She is the only child of immigrant parents. She lives, eats and breaths music and videos. As a matter of fact, she owns enough to run her own store. She's opinionated, smart, very loyal and doesn't put up with crap. I admire that in a person. :)

Not only was Ela a bridesmaid at my wedding in September 2000, but she is also the godmother of my son, Mikey! She adores him almost as much as we do. She's an excellent godmother and I know she will always be a great part of our lives.

For whatever reason fate planned it, I am glad she is a part of my life, and I wouldn't trade her friendship for all the sushi in the world :)
