Cobalt

Hi All. Cats truly do have 9 lives. I have used up at least one of em. A few years ago I had a nasty reaction to a ring worm medication called Fulvicin. It caused a severe reaction and suppressed my bone marrow!! Thanks to the quick thinking of Dr. J. Russell at the SPCA Hospital and the amazing knowledge of Dr L. Braun and the staff of the Animal Critical Care Group I survived this very dangerous ordeal and have lived to tell the tail.. er .. tale. Please remember to ask your vet about ALL the side effects from any medication before you give your little fur kids anything new. It could cost them their lives! Now back to my intro...

My name is Cobee(short for Lithium Cobalt Dioxide). Let me tell you about myself!

I was adopted from the SPCA Hospital in Vancouver on Wednesday December 8th, 1999. My mommy, Susan, already adopted my big sis-purr Ally from the hospital that she works in, but in October of '99, my daddy, Julian, told Mommy that she could have one more furr-baby and that he would even pay for the adoption!

Mommy usually pre-furrs brown tabbies (I am a handsome seal point siamese kitty), but she saw me and since I was such a friendly little guy, and darned cute too (if I do say so myself) Mommy fell in love with me at fur-st sight. I was in the hospital because my previous mommy thought I had a broken leg and couldn't afford the surgery so she surrendered me. But it turned out my leg was just sore, and since I could go up for adoption my mommy, Susan, took me home as quickly as she could!
Mommy & Daddy love me very much (although Mommy calls me "Evil Demon Spawn" when I am bad). I am very friendly, talkative and affectionate, but like that saying goes "When I am good I am very, very good.. but when I am bad I am AWFUL! (hehe). I love being cuddled and petted. And I will admit to a *small* sock fetish. I love playing with my big Sis-Purr Ally, but it took her a while to get used to me. She used to hiss at me everytime I came near.. but within in a few days she started playing with me, and even gives me kisses!!
Like Ally, I am very happy to be part of this household.. and I hope that anyone who is thinking about getting a pet will go to their local shelters and adopt one from there.. there are lots of wonderful pets just like me who need homes!

Description: Seal Point Siamese Mix with blue eyes.
Favorite Food: Medi-Cal Weight Control Canned & Dry and fresh chicken or steak.
Favorite Toy: SOCKS!!!! string, anything not nailed down!
Favorite Resting Place: On top of Ally's scratching post, in my parent's laps or anywhere else they will let me lie.
Favorite things to do: Playing with SOCKS, getting into anything my humans are doing, chasing things, being paid attention to.
Least favorite things: Having socks taken away from me, being locked out of rooms, getting sprayed when I am naughty (usually for getting up on counters!).
