Rastaban in Draco Rising UD HC "Rusty" June 14, 1977 - May 6, 1993

Rusty was our first Sheltie. He came to us at three months of age, in September, 1977. Despite my inexperience, he became my first Utility Dog, at the age of 4. He acquired numerous OTCH points, but was retired from competition at the age of six, with arthritis in his shoulders. His registered name reflects David's interest in astronomy; the constellation Draco the Dragon was rising when Rusty was born, June 14, 1977. Rastaban is the head star...and while he was here, Rusty was indeed our star. We lost Rusty shortly before he turned 16, in May of 1993. Click here for a 3 generation pedigree.
