Nini is probably the most striking Mau I have bred so far. She now belongs to Jan and Bonnie Wydro.

I saw my first Egyptian Maus in a cat book when I was only ten years old. To this day I am not sure exactly what drew me to the Maus, but I think it was a combination of their exotic spotted pattern, their stunning coloration and the romantic history of the breed extending back into the mists of time. At that stage there were no Maus in the United Kingdom, and it was not until 1996, when I went to work in the USA for two and a half years, that my dream to own Maus became reality. I now have a small cattery and I am actively involved in the preservation and promotion of this unique and rare breed. I am currently the only breeder of Egyptian Maus in the UK, but several more breeders are intersted in working with the breed, and I think the Maus will become more widespread before long.

I am hoping eventually to get the Maus accepted by the GCCF, and I recently founded a new British club with this aim, The Egyptian Mau Club. I continue to register my cats with CFA, and I am a member of two CFA breed clubs, the Egyptian Mau Breeders and Fanciers Club and the International Egyptian Mau Society. I am also an active member of the CFA Egyptian Mau Breed Council.

My breeding cats come from both the traditional Mau lines and the newer Indian lines; at present I do not have any of the recent Egyptian imports represented in my cats. All of my cats come from lines that have produced CFA Grand Champions, Regional Winners and even National Winners within recent years, and two of my breeding cats are CFA grand champions themselves. I am currently specialising in breeding silvers, however this does not mean that I don't get the occasional bronze or smoke kitten.

My foundation cats are all named after Egyptian gods befitting their ancient origins and regal looks:
