People And Their Herps

This section is dedicated to herps and the people who love and care for them. Far too many people seem closed-mided when it comes to snakes and reptiles. Most people don't understand what we see in our pets. The truth is, we feel the same way about our snakes as most people feel about thier dog or cat...they are part of the family. This section was created with the thought that people might see these pics and realize that with the proper care and love, these misunderstood creatures can become wonderful pets.

"The snake is an animal...
It has a backbone and heart.
It has red blood and drinks water and eats food.
It breathes air and feels fear, just like every other animal in the world...
And it's in a body that is the hardest thing for the average person to understand."

Dave Barker, herpetologist
