It stayed just right throughout the day, which helped the horses out alot. The show opened with a ceremonious cutting of the red ribbon in front of the arena gate since this was the first use of CHA's brand new arena, then all the entries paraded around the arena twice, with Smokey, riding RH Dynamo, leading the way. Then, Smokey gave a brief welcoming speech then declared the show ready to begin. With no time to spare, the first class entered the new show ring... A large spread of Barbequed chicken, pork, and beef was laid out, along with many different types of salads and other dishes. We had about 10 different desserts, and then a short speech was made by Smokey, owner of CHA, welcoming everyone to the newly started farm, and to invite everyone to come see the new CHA once moved and settled in. She also introduced herself, and then showed everyone her farm's horses with a mini "halter show".
