§ SPECIAL EQUITATION CLASS §

10.) The Ideal Sportsmanship Trophy - Presented by Classic Rose Acres (38 entries)
To be awarded to the Junior/Young Rider, who has not reached their 21st 
birthday, during the International Hunter Jumper Classic exhibits the highest 
degree of exemplary personal conduct with respect to good sportsmanship, 
manners, dress, and consideration of others including his own and other 
horses. Winner & two runner-ups to be chosen by a special panel of secret 
judges appointed by the horse show committee. To be considered, entries must 
be entered in this class. Exhibitors entered in this class were required to 
wear a numbered arm band at all times while on the grounds in riding attire, 
whether exhibiting or not at the time. Failure to wear arm band incurred a 
major demerit for first offense. Second offense will constitute elimination.  
Winner presented with trophy and $75.

3.) $5,000 Classic Rose Acres Grand Prix (26 entries)
Open to horses ages 7 and up.  Minimum speed 382 yds/min.  Fences 5'3" - 
5'6", Spreads to 5'6".  Course included at least one of each: double line, 
triple line, liverpool, water jump, wall, triple bar, swedish oxer, and a 
plank jump with flat cups.
The Show Committee required that all participants are formally attired. 
Riders must wear the following: scarlet, dark blue, dark green or black coat; 
white shirt with white tie, white choker or white stock; white, fawn, or 
canary breeches; hunt cap, black boots. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED. 
Riders were required to salute upon entering the ring. 
Winner presented with inscribed cooler (says "International H/J Classic", 
trophy, and ribbon.

Congratulations to everyone on the wonderful turnout!  All results were done 
w/ the randomizer form (as always <g>).  Ummm, oh yes, all Grand Champions of 
each division received $250, an inscribed cooler (all coolers were hunter 
w/burgandy trim & lettering), a grand champion ribbon & a trophy.  All 
Reserve Champions received $100, a reserve champion ribbon and a leather 
halter.  Oh and in all the classes their were ribbons through 6th place.  
Anyhow, good job guys! :)
