The early morning light, pokes through the clouds in red, orange and pink streams. Welcoming nickers float out of a stable as the horses wake to the serinity of cool darkness before the sun rises. The smell of sweet hay fills the air as the horses begin to munch peacefully. Excited nickers fill the air as a trailer pulls up the drive. You strain to see the name, in bright white letters Translucent Glitter Equestrian Center apeares. A young lady climbs out, Jennifer Lee the owner of TGEC, and walks to the back of her truck and pulls out a halter and lead shank. Then a young man climbs out of the other side, Steve Norcup, Jennifer's boyfriend. He goes to the back and opens the trailer steppes inside and leads out a big Hannoverian mare. And then the excited chatter of Monique Holden and Stephanie rings out into the air as the trot to the trailer and lead out their horses. First Monique brings out a cute little Tiger Horse, and then Stephanie follows with a elagant Morgan. Jennifer starts to tack up her horse when another trailer comes down the drive, she reconizes it as Baywood Acres blue and gold van. Then she turns to watch Steve bring out his American Warmblood, Dean's List. As the trailer pulls to a stop Hillary Morgan runs to the back to comfort her horse who spooked at the street lights on the way. The Quarter Horse mare moves around restlessly in her stall while Hillary grabs the lead shank and opens the back of the trailer and leads out a daintly little Arabian owned by Sierra Luevano who then takes her and begins to tack up. Then the owner of Baywood Acres,Savannah Luevano, steppes out of the truck and brings out a sweet looking Apalooosa owned by Jo Packer who comes over and starts to rub down the sweaty body of Sassy. Finally a young lady goes around to the back and takes out a big Canadian horse named Sabre. Then Savannah jumps back into the car and signals Jennifer to follow her to the trailer lot. Then suddenly three trailers pull into the stable yard and start to unload their horses. The owner of Saddle Creek Farms,Carlie Jenkins, unloads an eye catching Quarter Horse called Zippo's Flyin Bug. Then once Bug is saftly tied in a saddling stall she drives the trailer over to the trailer lot. While this was happening Caroline Teich, owner of Royale Crown Stables and Liza Teich, owner of Raspberry Ridge Stables were unloading their horses. Caroline brought a pretty little Apaloosa named Polka Dots and Liza had her Morgan, Phar Lap. Then Savannah walked back with a large Thoroughbred mare named Dasani. Suddenly Dasani spooked,a little rabbit hd hopped across her path and Dani is very scared of rabbits. While Savannah was calming her down the Blue Spruce Stables trailer drove up and Jackie Brenning unloaded SCp. Shadowfax (HECC). Jackie tied Shadowfax next to Dasani to that Savannah and Jackie could talk. They talked about foals and next years foal season and what in would bring. Soon everyone was talking about foal, horses for sale and new stallions and mares. Sierra and Jo were talking about their horses and trying to compare tack at the same time. Then the Cross Over Farms trailer drove up and unloaded. Elizabeth and her two daughters Ammity and Kellie went around to the back of the trailer and walked out with their horses. Ammity with a Welsh pony named What a Find and Kellie with a Welsh pony named Galen Raintree went to talk with Jo and Sierra and told them all about Welshes. Then Elizabeth brought out her Quarter Horse, Bronzes Pine Man.Then Dream Beliver Farms,Tuckaway Acres, Spring Meadows and Shining Star Stables all pulled up into the drive. And at the very back were Monique(Storybook Elf), Ashley(Master Zip), Hillary(Crabtree's Lady) and Linda(Sabre). Heading down the pin trail trees covered the sides so there was no room to fool around. As they followed the trail the sound of rushing water could be heard. Savannah announced that it was the water fall that ran into the river which ran into the lake that the workers at Baywood called Crystal Lake. So there for the river was called Crystal River and the water fall Crystal Falls. Everybody was talking and showing each other who well their horses collected or took the jumps that no one noticed the little chipmunk running around untill Accapella took off with Sierra still on her back. The mare was run this way and that untill she ran underneathe a low branch and scraped Sierra off. Once Accapella noticed that her rider had dissapered she put her head down and forgot about the chipmunk. Everyone was laughing, including Sierra. The she walked over to the mare, scooped up the reins and swung back on. Two hours later there were still jokes flying over shoulders about the fall. The the riders came upon Crystal river, they stopped and let their horses have drinks and dagled their feet in the water while they talked about this and that. Savannah and Jo started on the subject of racing since Jo had recently become one of Baywood Acres's jockeys. They talked about differant horses and races coming up. Sierra, Ammity and Kellie were busy mounting up on each others horses and braiding their manes and tales while talking about their other horses. Hillary,Carlie and Elizabeth were talking about Quarter Horses and comparing their western tack. The others were sitting peacefully watching the water flow beneathe them. Then Savannah suggested that they all mount up again and find Crystle Lake and go swimming. So they headed off in the direction of the lake. An hour later they finnaly reached it and slipped on their swim suits and dove into the cool water. After everyone was cool they started a water fight, and all got soaked. Then everyone mounted up and started off for the picnic area. Once they reached in the horses were hobbled and the riders sat in groups and ate their lunch. Eventually everyone got on the subject of the Barn Competitions and tryed to guess which barn and mini barn would win. Finally everyone fell asleep in the deep grass and didn't wake for another hour. They decided they better start back home and have that Bonfire. On the way back they took another trail that led them right through a huge feild where the horses got a lose rein and ran! Once they got back to the barn the horses were put into temperary stalls while everyone went over to the club house to change out of his/her riding clothes. Once darkness settled over the stables and the fire lit everyone started to pull out the things they brought to share. First Jennifer, Steve, Jo, Monique and Jackie took out their hotdogs and we started to cook them over the fire. Then we brought out the grill and Elizabeth, her daughters, Ammity and Kellie, started to grill hamburgers. Everyone had a hotdog and hamburger after they had the salad that Hillary brought with her. After the hotdogs and hamburgers were gone Jennifer, Steve, Samantha, Alana and Ashley started to pass out marshmellows. And Liza took out s'more makings. While people were still eating their dinner Lilianne and Carlie passed out some cool soda for everyone to drink and Caroline poured hot sider. After the marshmellows and s'mores were devoured cookies were passed out by Monique. When ten o'clock hit Elizabeth,Kellie and Ammity left to get ready for a show the next day. They thanked Savannah for all the fun and loaded up the horses. And when eleven o'clock came Stephanie and Monique left and took a cookie with them each. At eleven thirty Samantha and Lilianne left for they were very tired. They were wished well and Steve helped load the horses. Then the rest of the party goers played games and told joke after joke after joke. Finally at about 3 o'clock they settled down and fell asleep under the star light. A rooster crows, a horse nickers for his feed. Savannah is awakened to help with the morning feed by her trusted stable girl Sheree Jacob. As Savannah stands to head over to the barn she wakes Jackie who's sleeping bag was next to hers and Jackie offers to help. As they feed the horses everyone else wakes up and Sierra starts to hand out the doughnuts she brought and Caroline passes out the rest of the cider. Carlie and Alana eat under a tree and chat about what horses are entered in the upcoming shows. And Sierra and Jackie discuss western events. Then Steve pulled out a bunch of little scraps of paper and suggested Charades. Everyone wanted to play so Steve and Jennifer became team captains. Hillary, Ashley, Caroline, Linda and Alana went of Steve's team. And Jackie, Savannah, Liza, Jo and Carlie went on Jennifer's team. Sierra said she wanted to be a judge so she wrote out all of her ideas on the little scraps and then wrote them out for herself with little numbers on them. There were ones such as, "Fly in the Butter" and "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth". People were making jokes and having a great time. After they had finished playing Charades everybody loaded up the horses and went home. Jo stayed for five minutes longer because Savannah needed to show her around the racing grounds. Then she left. It was great, and everybody had a great time!! Thanks!!
