A big thank you to those that entered! :) Since this was the first banquet the AHR has hosted, we were unsure of how to go about it, but
we have ideas to make Season 2’s a lot better! :) For the Halter show, which was held from 8am-4pm on July 3rd, Randomizer was
used. This halter show began the new point tally for Season 2, though we will give you instructions in a few weeks on how we will ask for
points on that. :) Here you go!!! We have the halter show results listed first, then the banquet report.


HALTER SHOW RESULTS
AHR point system is in effect, as well as the ERP pt system. Be sure to keep up with the AHR pts!!! Point system can be found on AHR’s
Rules/Guidelines/Point System page. Placings 1-10 for the AHR’s pt allocations, but remember, the ERP goes only to placing 5!!!

*ANNOUNCMENTS*

We were planning on having a thorough discussion on the restructuring on the AHR, but since HB has been closed for remodeling, this
will be put on hold. We will have a meeting once HB is reopened in which everyone is invited to attend to hear what everything is about.

*JULY SHOW*
We’re tentatively planning a saddleseat/pleasure show at the end of this month. Anyone interested in hosting it please let us know, or if
you’re interested in helping out in anyway.

*NEW IDEAS*
Currently the AHR is working on ways to better promote our breed. We’re also planning a type of "breed expo/fair" in which we’ll invite
several top Arab breeders, as well as the horses themselves, and have lectures and booths and so forth. 

*POINTS*
I’m trying to figure out a way in which to better calculate your Arab’s AHR pts, and also which way would be best to keep track of it within
the AHR. If you'’ like to be in charge of a award, let'’ say the High Point Stallion award for each season, let me know. You’ll be keeping
tracking at shows and events of those stallions that are eligible for the award and their pts.

Also, the current points standings will be updated within the week. Please don’t send in point updates until after July 15th.

I can’t do much really until HB is opened back up and we have more insight on how our associations are to be run. But until then the
AHR is really going to try to make it worth while to have your Arabs registered with us. I’m slowly but surely thinking up a Incentive
Program and also a Blue Book for those that carry black genes.

*US NATIONALS*
We have more information up on the AHR pages concerning the Nationals this year. I’ve decided to move it to December, since October
is a busy month for me, that will also give you more time to bring up a Nationals contended. Nominations will open in August, possibly.

Brian Kali from Kashmir Stud in Cairo Egypt will be hosting a seminar sometime in August or September to speak about the importance
of linages and pedigrees and also keeping bloodlines pure. He’ll also bring over a few of his own stallions to show the difference
between the types of the Arabian breed. If you’re interested in this, let the AHR know.
