THIS IS ALL PART OF A GAME CALLED
HOOFBEATS,
NOTHING IS REAL!!
For centuries man has used the
horse for labor and companionship. In war, a soldier’s horse often lost
his life for or with his rider. Pioneers
and great explorers have ventured
into new lands upon the horse’s back. Native Americans treasured the horse
after it’s re-introduction to America, galloping swiftly along side the
buffalo, riding to victories and to death in battles, and selectively breeding
him to create on of the fastest growing breeds in the US, the Appaloosa.
Yet even after all the horse
has given us, and how much he has helped us thrive, we have chosen to ignore
his pleas to simply listen. We have used cruel and painful methods to force
work, he would have willingly taken, upon him, if we had only listened.
The horse has a vast display
of signals shown through the body that make up the equine body language
I choose to call Equuis. This language is expressed through motions
with the ears, eyes, mouth, and body positioning.
