Latest News from The Dog House…

Well, the Dogs are back in town. Our apologies for taking so long to update the website. You can look to keep up-to-date with the Pukin' Dogs again.

The site is still undergoing major construction. Any suggestions or requests are welcome.

Since our return from the 'round-the-world adventure, The Pukin' Dogs have been keeping a hectic schedule. October found us competing in the East Coast Bombing Derby and TARPS training. November was the time to train in the air-to-air arena. A squadron deployment to NAS Key West provided the great weather we needed to obtain several of our SFWT qualifications.

On the not-so-tactical side, these last few months have been great months for several departments in the squadron. Winning the Bronze and Silver Anchor awards for retention, as well as the base Football championships were just a few of the highlights. This is just a quick overview of the news you can look for in the upcoming weeks. Each of these news items will get its own time in the spotlight. Just keep checking the website.

The next few months will see us training even harder. There is a detachment planned for late February to Puerto Rico. We'll be doing some heavy air-to-ground and air-to-air training as we get to drop and fire live weapons. One of the planned events is a missile-shoot designed to explore the expanded capabilities of the AIM-54C Phoenix, our long-range air-to-air missile. We'll also be providing opportunities for several of our pilots and RIOs to get further qualifications such as Level III SFWT, Forward Air Controller Airborne, and Section Lead. Just keep checking the website; we'll keep you up-to-date…
