"Of all the countries deployed to the Gulf,
the principle allies ourselves, the United States, the
Canadians, and the Norwegians we have all got ex service men
and women who are suffering illnesses which result from their
services there. The French, unlike the others, say they have
no one who is unwell. But the difference between ourselves and
the US, Canadians, Norwegians and the French, would seem to be
that the French didn't take the NAPS tablets."

"Perhaps the Ministry of Defence are now
beginning to realise that there is a thing Gulf War Syndrome or
what ever you want to call it. It is much better to acknowledge
it, to face up to it and to try and sort it out. And to learn
from past mistakes. Maybe they were using a dangerous drug for
the best possible reasons in order to save life. But the lesson
learned it was a dangerous thing to do."
