ON THIS PAGE, I HAVE PLACED SOME PICTURES THAT MEAN A LOT TO ME. WHENEVER I HESITATE TO RESPOND TO A CHALLENGE, OR FEEL OVERCOME BY ADVERSITY, I CAN GLANCE AT THESE PICTURES. KNOWING THE OBSTACLES THEY OVERCAME, I ASK MYSELF THE QUESTION, WOULD THEY GO FORWARD?
THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS YES!

We are in many ways shaped by our ancestors. Put another way, if you want to be tough, it pays to come from tough stock.

Here is my Dad, Jack Marshall. 94th Infantry/WW2/machine gunner/3major battles/CIB/etc. The Germans called his Division "Roosevelt's Butchers".

The 94th took so many casualties in the war that they were too few to come back as a Division. They were reassigned to other outfits.

Dad lives in the finger lakes region of NY state and is active in his Division's Association.

Here is my Great Uncle Glenn Coye(my Grandfather's brother/Mothers side of the family).

Glenn was an Army Infantry Sgt. in W.W.I. When WW2 broke out he took a commission in the US Merchant Marine and ran the Atlantic Convoy circuit till the end of the war.

After the war he joined Gulf Oil as an officer in their tanker fleet.

Most traveled man I ever met.

This is a 1912 pic of my Great Uncle Carl Schneider. (I believe he
was my maternal Grandmother's brother)

He is said to have been an excellent woodsman and bounty tracker in the Adirondack Mountains of NY State. Take a close look at the face in the picture. Would you really  want to get on his bad side?
