Military Career
I joined the U.S. Army in the Summer of 1983 on the Delayed entry program. After graduating from High School I left for Ft. McClellan for Military Police (OSUT) and was assigned to E-10 "Echo War-Eagles born to fly, trained to kill and stay alive". After completing training I was assigned to the 410th M.P. CO., Ft Hood Texas (Oct84-Nov 85). I spent a year at Ft. Hood before PSC-ing to Ft. Clayton Panama. There I was assingned to HQ CO LEA as a patrol officer Nov 85-April 87. After about 8 month's I was transfered to the MP Desk as the radio operator. During this time I was assinged to the Special Reaction Team and trained with the 3/7th Special Forces. After ETS-ing I went off to college at St. Cloud State, Minnesota studying Criminal Justice. While in college I joined the reserves 385th Engineer Company as the Colonels driver. This was a bad idea!!! When they said M.P. they assumed that meant "Motor Pool", so needless to say I got out of there quick. A couple years later I joined the 34th M.P. CO., St. Paul Minnesota. I spent a couple years there (Jan 90-March 92). It was a great unit and I had the opportunity to do "Keep up" training at Ft. Shafter Hawaii two years in a row. I was also lucky enough to return to Panama on anuual Training. After taking a couple years off I joined the 220th M.P. CO., Golden Colorado (Oct 96-Oct 97). I spent a year with the 220th and had an opportunity to have Annual Training in Florida. Also just before ETS-ing we were activated for a blizzard in Colorado (the Hummers did great).
