Operate Telephone Set TA-312/PT

Task 113-600-2007

Conditions

This task is preformed in tactical or nontactical situations, in all weather conditions, and may be performed in an NBC enviroment. You will be provided the following:

1. Telephone set TA-312/PT (installed), two each.

2. Headset H-144/U.

3. Screwdriver.

4. TM 11-5805-201-12.

Standards & Safety

Standard is met when a call has been initiated and completed IAW TM 11-5805-201-12 performance measures.

Watch for electrical shock.

Evaluation Preparation

Setup: At the site, provide two TA-312/PT contected with field wire.

Brief Soldier: Tell the soldier to refer to TM 11-5805-201-12 and review the preformance standards.

Performance Measures		Results
	The following requirements must be met to perform operate telephone set TA-312/PT.
	NOTE:Refer to TM 11-5805-201-12 for all performance measures.
1.	Initiates a call in the prescribed mode of operation (paragraph 3-2).	P	F
2.	Answers calls in the prescribed mode of operation (paragraph 3-3a).	P	F
	NOTE: Performance measure 3 maybe used if the telephone operator must have his hands free during operation.
3.	Answers calls using external headset (paragraph 3-3b).	P	F
	NOTE: Operation under conditions less than ideal may require the operator to make special operating considerations.
4.	Operates telephone set under unusual conditions (paragraph 3-4).	P	F

Feedback

Score the soldier a GO if all steps are passed (P).
Score the soldier a NO-GO if any step(s) are failed (F).
If the soldier fails any step(s), show what was done wrong and how to do it correctly.
