
Be a Key Volunteer
If you don't want to be a Key Volunteer, use your Key Volunteer for as much as needed. What you say to your Key Volunteer is confidential.
Go to as many Command?Key Volunteer functions as possible: Marine Corps Ball, Key Volunteer organized lunches, TriCare meetings, COmmand picnics, and Dining in events.
Get involved with the other families that are stationed in your area. Even if you are a couple of hours from each other, you can meet each other half way.
Talk with other spouses that are within your Recruiting Station. They are in the same or similar situation that you are in and most likely will understand better than a civilian freind. Swap phone numbers. Make plans to meet and have lunch or go shopping.
Volunteer for a community or school organization or get involved in church activities.
Locate the nearest military installation Family Service Center.
