Thanks for visiting my site. My name is Scott Pinkowski and I am
the creator of Lost Images Of World War II. This is actually
my second website featuring these photos. My first attempt was a
site called Images From The 347th Ordnance Depot Company and it
was online for only 6 months in 1997. When I moved to Centralia,
Illinois in November, 1997, that website was removed from the internet.
Rather than bringing the old site back in its original form, I decided
to redesign the whole thing from the bottom up.
I feel it is my responsibility to share these
photos with interested viewers worldwide and I believe the internet is
the most dynamic way of doing that. For an explanation of how
the photo collection came about see the Memorial Section.
About myself; I was born in Joliet, IL in 1973
and grew up in Hillsboro, IL. In 1991, I entered Millikin University
to study art and graduated in 1995 with my Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree.
I currently work as production manager and graphic artist for a publishing
company in Centralia, IL.
I hope you enjoy your visit at this site.
I've spent uncountable hours on it, (including the time I spent in 1997
scanning all the photos you'll see here). Feel free to e-mail
with information concerning ANY of the photos you've seen here.
Also please take a moment to sign the guestbook, as well. I'm interested
in who is visiting my site, and I'd like to know what you think.
Thanks again for visiting.
Sincerely, Scott Pinkowski
