HEADQUARTERS
DEPOT 0-616
APO 507, US ARMY

9 March, 1944

SUBJECT: Commendation
TO:Commanding Officer, 347th Ord. Depot Co. APO 507, US ARMY

1. The record of supplying 84% of all requested items on the day such items were requested, (not including back orders) is a record of which the 347th Ord. Depot Co. has every right to be proud. Unserviceable items, turned into your organization for exchange, both major and spare parts, has been handled in such a manner as to render the maximum aid to the war effort by the maximum utilization of unserviceable parts to replenish depot stocks.

2. The outstanding feature of the 347th Ord. Depot Co. is its intense "desire to serve". Their attention to detail, initiative, cooperation, loyalty, tactfulness, and devotion to duty is worthy of emulation by all Ordnance personnel. I shall always think of the 347th as "bottoms up", because, upon receiving a request, every man's bottom went up and his head down, as he bent relentlessly forward, with confidence born of knowledge of their responsibilities and rise to the demands of the service.

3. I shall be happy if the fortunes of war again call the 347th to serve with me.
