USMC Combat Development Command is a very interesting site specifically the information on ORD Development in the Requirements Division. The ORD process is very important to understand if you want to know how a new system (like the forward surgery shelter or the new medic bag) ever gets to be.
The USMC Warfighting lab has some fascinating information on new technologies they are working on including the MECC. I wont tell you what it is look at it under technologies at the site
