Crying Mermaids

Even the mermaids are crying

Tying yellow ribbon in their hair

Having no country

They love all those

Who sail their seas

But fear the spinning turrents

Aboard the battleships

Primed to send

Some young soul sinking

Down to where soggy yellow ribbon

Decorates the seaweed hair Of mermaids
