ANOTHER WALL
It's been 29 years since I went to Nam,
but it seems like a couple of days.
Now flashbacks and memories numb my mind
as I stand at the wall and gaze.
For the thousands that died,
thousands have cried;
Yes, many have shed their tears.
And as I look, at name after name,
I find myself facing new fears.
For, when America again has a need
others will answer her call.
And the nightmares that wake me during the night
are my son, another war, another Wall.
