Hosted by www.Geocities.ws

The uniform on the left is worn when operating an Armored vehicle. The uniform is 2 piece. It consist of a tunic and pants. The pants come with a cloth belt. The tunic has a felt Tank patch sewn on the right breast. The tunics also has an internal pistol holster on one side and pistol magazine ammo pouch on the other. The head gear worn is the padded helmet when operating in an Armored vehicle. The neck mike can be seen as well as the plug in connection. The stenciled letters and numbers are used for identification purpose. I would welcome any more info about these numbers and letters.

The uniform on the right is a Sergeants Service Uniform. The Tank patch is worn on the left arm. On the left breast is a Proficiency, Classification and Sports badges. On the right side is a “Komsomol” badge. On the black collar boards are worn the Tank collar insignia. The shoulder boards have the rank stripes and the letters C A (Soviet Army). The cap has the enlisted cap badge and black chin strap.
