SOVIET MILITARY HATS

Hosted by www.Geocities.ws

The first cap is a Parade cap for a Senior Marshal. This is a beautiful and a very well made cap. It has a bullion chin strap, which is attached by 2 small buttons. These buttons have the Soviet Union’s State seal on them. The bullion embroidery on the visor and band are stitched on. The cap badge is a 2 piece badge. The colour of this cap is a “Czar green” with red band and piping. Underneath the visor is a felt lining. This particular cap was made in 1971.

The other hat is a Parade "Papahka" winter fur hat for a Soviet General. This hat is made from Lamb’s wool with a gold lace cross, stitched on a red felt on the crown of the hat. This hat also has a 2 piece badge attached to the front. On the inside is a draw string attachment to adjust the size.
