Hi, Semper Fi. I am a prior Marine and my son is going to Boot Camp Jan. 23, 2001 in Sandiago CA. I was in the Service for 11yr 6mo, if anyone has any questions or I can be of any assistance feel free to "E" mail me. Peoria, IL. just held their first Mar
ne Corps Family Platoon (MCFP) meeting 12-09-00. The purpose is to form a support group to assist Marines and their families in times of crisis and to provide a network to help young Marines in addition to forming a bond between the recruiting service an
the families. This MCFP was started in Peoria by GYSGT Jackson of the Peoria Marine Corps Recruiting Station. I hope there will be a lot of good things come of this new Marine Corps Family that we have all became a part of tonight. God Bless America,
ur Sons & Daughters and all those of us who have served! OOHRAH and Semper Fi.

I am a mother of a Marine to be. My son Richard, is in boot camp now, Parris Island, South Carolina. As all Moms, I am worried about him, he is only 18 and this is his first time away from home but one good thing, is that I will be able to see him in 26 m
re days. He will be graduating on December 1st. Does anyone know how long he will be at Camp Lejune after boot camp? Thanks for being there, not everyone understands what a Mom goes through, they think it is just like if there sons go to college. People j
st do not understand, my son is learning to fight for our freedom.
Thanks
-nancy

Great sites! My son graduated Oct 7, 1997 from PI. Trained as a welder with tanks and spent a couple of years at Lejeune. He's a Camp Schwabb now on Okinawa. This will be the first Christmas he won't be home but I've already started shopping for a very s
ecial Christmas stocking. Good luck Mom! You did a good job!

Hello Everyone!
Nice site. I've been surfing the webrings and my thoughts as the holiday season approaches is that I am thankful that my husband is home this year and won't be doing another deployment. My thoughts are with those of you who cannot be with your loved one
for the holidays.
On a different note--if anyone out there knows a military family who may be looking to sell or buy a house, please contact me. I am a Navy spouse who works for a great agent who's a Marine spouse at Century 21. Call me toll-free (888) 895-3229. Thanks!
