History and Availability
The TH-67 Creek is the Army’s first ‘off-the-shelf’ helicopter fully certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. Commercially, the Creek is known as the 206B-3 Jet Ranger. In its Army role, the Creek is the primary training aircraft for Initial Entry Rotary Wing training at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Concept of Employment/Organization. The TH-67 Creek affords the Army reduced operating and support costs, as well providing autorotation power recovery within 100 feet after initiating maneuver, permitting students to routinely perform full touchdown autorotations with ease and safety. It also incorporates the latest technology for dual pilot IFR avionics. A unique feature of the Creek is a closed-circuit television system which provides a second student full view of primary flight and navigation instruments.
