On Call to Serve

Constituted 23 March 1966 in the Regular Army as the 7th Support Battalion and assigned to the 199th Infantry Brigade Activated 1 June 1966 at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Inactivated 15 October 1970 at Fort Benning, Georgia, and relieved from assignment to the 199th Infantry Brigade; concurrently redesignated as the 299th Support Battalion.

Assigned 20 October 1983 to the 1st Infantry Division and activated in Germany.

Inactivated 15 August 1991 in Germany.

Activated 16 February 1996 in Germany.

Deployed to Bosnia October 1996 to April 1997.
