Dwarven Implements of Destruction

In almost all Fantasy games, Dwarves are renowned for one thing;

Looking through our world's history, there have been more axe designs than you can poke a (pointed) stick at. Stands to reason that Dwarves, being an industrious lot, must have invented some especially for themselves.
War Axe: The picture above (courtesy of Elfwood) shows a dwarf with a War Axe. For AD&D, a War Axe is between 24" and 30" long, and weighs 50gp. It can be used one or two-handed, doing hand-axe or battle-axe damage respectively.
| War Axe | Usage | Speed | S-M | L | ROF | Range |
| One-Handed | 4 | 1-6 | 1-4 | 1/1 | 1/2/3 |
| Two-Handed | 6 | 1-8 | 1-8 | 1/1 | 1/2/3 |
These axes are made specifically for dwarves, as they are balanced for the height and weight of an individual. They are at least triple the cost of a battle-axe, and any non-dwarf using one suffers a -1 penalty to both hit and damage (does hand-axe damage)
Dwarven Shortsword
Another weapon customary to the bearded-folk are strong blades. Forged on anvils worked by kinfolk who have spent more days at the forge than most men live, the swords of Moradin's chosen are some of the best blades that can be found.
A Dwarven shortsword is made by a master smith for a specific kinsman. The cost of one of these blades can be from triple to one hundred times the price of a 'normal' blade, depending upon the ornamentation added (gems etc). In combat, a Dwarven shortsword gives the owner a +1 'to hit' (non-magical) and reduces the weapon speed by one point (3).
