We don't wear buckskin or cowboy boot
just black -- that's the color of our flying suits
jobs no different than it was in the past
we still got people shooten our ass

Some people think its the mail we bring
don't blame us if you don't get a thing
our cargo's a different type
seldom seen in the broad daylight

SNEAKY

We ride out in the early dawn
and don't come back til the suns gone
we've had lots to do and little time
to do it all without leaven a sign

CLANDESTINE

We've got a chopper thats big and black
been known to take some flak
the V.C. tried and the P.L. too
the Pony Express always come through

BLACK MARIAH

Hobos ride shotgun and
zorros too and
once in a while the thuds come through
nimrods and fireflies, they work our gig
use the duces to watch for migs

BANDITS

When the Jollies are flat on their ass
they come to the ponies mighty fast
when pedro's down and the goonie too,
the Pony Express has to see them through

VERSATILE

Udorn, Korat, and NKP
these are the places the ponies you'll see
You might see us passen thru
Saigon, Da Nang, and even plucker

EVERYWHERE

Big charlies pictures often seen
to the world its only a jolly green
we know better than all the rest
we can tell its the Pony Express

UNRECOGNIZED

Bravo team, tall, ABC, XYZ
we don't know what they all mean
COIN Ops uses them on the scene

I guess this has gone on long enough
you can tell its secret stuff
one of these days the word will get out
