President Bill Clinton walks through the crowd of soldiers gathered
at
the Petrovac Airport in Skopje, Macedonia. The soldiers were from
Camp Able Sentry, the staging base for Task Force Falcon, most of
them bound for Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. Behind him is Supreme
Allied Commander Gen. Wesley K. Clark. The President is on his first
trip to Macedonia.
President Clinton visited the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines
of Task
Force Falcon Tuesday on his first trip to Macedonia. Spending the
majority
of his time personally greeting, thanking, and posing with the
troops, Clinton
praised the armed forces for the excellent job they have
done, and specifically
mentioned those soldiers heading into Kosovo "to
protect ethnic
Albanian Kosovars and Kosovar Serbs equally".

soldiers they

sailors,
and marines appreciated Clinton's praise of their hard work on
