helicopter sling loads equipment going to Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. The
movement of personnel, equipment and life-support supplies is staged for
forward movement at Camp Able Sentry, in Skopje, Macedonia. SPC
Cornell is a native of Louisville, Kentucky.
Capt. Teresa Blount, assigned to Headquarters and
Headquarters
Company 1st Infantry Division, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate in
Katterbach, Germany, is deployed to Camp Able Sentry in Skopje
Macedonia. Capt. Blount assists soldiers by drawing up powers of
attorney, last wills and statements or any other legal matters that need
to
be resolved prior to deploying into Kosovo in support of the Kosovo
Peace agreement. Capt. Blount is originally from Atlantic Beach, North
Carolina.
SPC Charles Wooten of the 159th Aviation Battalion,
Giebelstadt
Germany, keeps an eye open for any possible threats while flying support
missions from Camp Able Sentry in Skopje, Macedonia to Camp
Bondsteel in Kosovo. Whenever he and the other members of his CH-47
Chinook helicoper crew, fly into Kosovo they have to keep track of
where other aircraft are, distance from the hills and power lines ensuring
the safety of the aircraft and crew. They must also keep track of traffic
jams at the border crossing points and other checkpoints set up inside
Kosovo, while keeping their eyes open for any sign of tracer fire and for
signs of possible mass grave sites.
