I served with H&S Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment as a radio operator and was there some of the same time you were (from the move from Hill 55 in August, '69 until May, '70). My wife looked over may shoulder as I viewed your photos and said "They look just
like the ones you have!" I never took my camera out into the field because it was just extra weight to carry but the "group pictures" of buddies were common. I wish I could remember all of the names.
I didn't know you but we were in the same place, at the same time. Same mud; same blood. Sempre Fi!

Hi. It's strange. I was just talking to my 16 yr old son today, briefly about the Vietnam veterans! I'm a 43 year old wife and mom and remember the end years of that war. I have always had a lot of respect and appreciation for those who served and coul
never understand why anyone would feel any other way. I also can't understand how the people of this country could want or allow a draft dodger in high office! Such a person certainly doesn't have the qualifications to be the head of the military! God
bless you for serving your country.

Your opening Statement is right to a point..
We fought for are country and flag ..
Most of all are freedom and even if I hate it are country laws give as*holes the right to burn the flag. Guess I fought for that right to...Dont like it ..Dont want to see it ...But guess till we change the laws got to defend it...

Hello Dave, It is good to see that there is someone nearby with such good thoughts about this Country, It's flag and our way of life.
It burns me to no end to see our flag burned. Some people say that it is their right under the freedom of speech to destroy our flag. They never spent any time in a war zone. They do not know what the rest of the world is like. I feel that they should
be sent there to live, Maybe in Kosovo. Most of the year an American flag and an USMC flag are displayed at my residence, and the words SEMPER FI ring true.
Thanks for what you did, I won't forget!!!!

Unfortunately, I am not a Veteran! I passed up the chance to join the USMC, and it's a decision I will regret for the rest of my life. I am a proud American and a Marine at heart. Hats off to every man and woman who have served and are serving our Coun
ry proudly and honorably. Of course, never forgetting those men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice. I live by the Marine's motto . . . semper fi . . . to Country, Corps, God and comrade. I proudly display the Red-White-Blue along with the Red &
ellow of the Corps. I frown upon those anti-Americans and disgraceful Americans who believe burning the U.S. Flag is a right entitled to them by the very U.S. Constitution that men and women have fought and died to protect! My grandfather proudly served
in WWII and, unfortunately, he passed away when I was too young to understand what he did for my Country. I regret not getting the chance to hug him and thank him for his service! In my grandfather's memory . . . I thank all men and women in the armed
