VIETNAM - 1969 TO 1970
My tour in Vietnam ended in January 1970. Sadly I had not taken pictures or written names of buddies who fought at my side. A few weeks after leaving I heard my group and the hill we defended was overrun with heavy casualties. All these years I wondered about my buddies. I searched the web and left my info on several Marine search sites with no luck. I could not remember names, only faces of brave young men. Then out of the blue an email I had wished for came. One of my buddies had recognized my name and contacted me. I can never thank this Marine enough. He not only remembered me, but he sent pictures he had of our unit. Because of this brother, I have these photos to share with you. Thank you Stuart Fagan. Your thoughtfulness has earned my gratitude and respect.
I was with H & S Company, First Batt., Seventh Marines, First Marine Division. Also served as needed with other groups.

Radio man and Stuart Fagen were dressed because it was late afternoon and they were going outside the wire for "ambush".
