Felony sex offenders are classified as Predators and Sex Offenders... the former being much
more serious. Predators must wear the Electronic Monitor. All offenders may not live with-in
1000 feet of any school, playground, or daycare center. They must register every time they
move, even after their supervision ends. The Legislatures additionally are adding new
requirements each year. All sex offenders in Florida are listed on the Internet, with their
photo and latest address...AGAIN the Courts can add or modify the existing conditions.
Florida too has been requiring all non-sexual violent offenders to submit to DNA registration.
Offenses like Aggrevated Battery, Kidnapping, and such offenses require DNA submissions
now.
