Too Long to the Next Reunion?

A number of you suggested the idea of holding regional or statewide mini-reunions. Great idea! Get together at a restaurant in some central location in your state or region for an afternoon or evening and share some good food and drink with some of your old shipmates.

The hard part is already done. In this issue are the names, addresses and phone numbers of 340 former Half Moon sailors. All it takes is one person to pick a date and a place and send out a note to those in his area and the rest should more or less take care of itself. Keep costs to a minimum and you should be able to attract a good turnout.

Send out your proposed date and location anywhere from 3 to 6 months in advance. You may want to include people in an adjacent state or area if it makes sense from a numbers perspective. What you may not realize is how many of you there are in your area. Check out these numbers:
