Days of our Lives were first filmed on NBC on November 8, 1965 by Ted and Betty Corday. Ted Corday died in July 1966 and left his legacy to his wife, Betty. She ran the show 'til she
retired in 1985 and stayed with the show 'til she died in 1987. Their son, Ken Corday began working with the show for his parents after college. Today he is the executive producer for Days of our Lives.
Kristian Alfonso a.k.a. Hope Williams Brady have been in Days of our Lives
for around 9 years. Kristian was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, and she now lives in Los Angeles with her son, Gino.
Kristian entered DAYS in 1983 then left in 1987; came back in 1990-1991, 1994-present. She returned to Salem as a mystery woman whose true identity turned out
to be the beloved Hope. In the show, Hope is currently searching for her 4 missing years as Gina. She recently found out that she used to live in Switzland as Princess Gina! Also she was not in the cage that blew up and made everyone in Salem thinks their sweet Hope was dead. Hope was taken away from the cage and replaced with a actress named Greta who got into accident and was stuck in the cage and got burned badly. It's pretty very mysterious!! There were total 4 actresses, before Kristian, who played the character as Hope Williams since 1974. Kristian won a gold medal at the Junior Olympics in figure skating at age 13. I really like Kristian very much
because of her wonderful acting role. Also her character as Hope Williams Brady's life is also very interesting and very mysterious too! She has recently signed up
with Days of our Lives for other 2 years!
Eileen Davidson a.k.a. Kristen DiMera has been in Days of our Lives for 5 years. She left the show last April 24, 1998 as the character Kristen who was taken as prisoner in somewhere away from her so-called baby and husband.
Eileen was born in California. Before DAYS, she appeared as Ashley Abbott on Young and the Restless and as Kelly Capwell on Santa Barbara.
I really like Eileen very much because she had worked really hard for the less than 2 years. She had 5 different characters at the *same* time! She played as Kristen DiMera, Susan Banks, Sister Moira Mary (Susan's twin sister) Thomas Banks, (Susan's twin brother) and finally, Penelope (Susan's dying twin sister!)
She really worked very hard for the last months to make the show really exciting for everyone! She left the show to have a break from acting, spend time with her life, her new husband and hopefully to adopt a baby to start a family. I was so happy when she got nomianted for the best actress in "Soap Opera Emmys Awards" in '96. But, I was very disppointed when Eileen didn't win the award! I think she should have the award because after what she had done for Days by playing 5 different characters at the same time! She had worked very hard and she desvered to have the emmys award for the best actress! Eileen doesn't know if she will return to DAYS in the future. I hope she will return to the show to make it exciting again!
The real story of "Kristen's" death.
Kristen held Susan Banks' other twin sister, Mary Moir�, hostage to make Susan to give her baby back to Kristen so she can have the baby to make her boyfriend John Black happy.
Susan decided to fly back to America from England. At the same time, Susan remembered that she had other twin sister named Penelope who was dying from dearly disease and told Susan that she'd do anything for her sister before she dies. Susan asked Penelope to help her. Both of
them flew back to America dressed up alike Kristen. Susan as "Kristen" showed up at the house and saw Kristen. Susan told her that she lied to her that she didn't have the baby with her. Kristen got angry but calmed down and tried to talk with Susan by drugged her. So she can find out where the baby is now. (The baby is still in England with Ewund's parents)
At the same time while in England, Ewund tried to find out where Susan had went so he can propose her. Then he found out that Susan had gone back to America. He decided to fly back to find her before anything happens. Susan realized that Kristen had drugged her and began to argue with Kristen about the baby named as Elvis Jr. While they're outside on the baloney, Susan had the letter opener in her hand and threaten Kristen to tell her where her sister Mary is. Then Kristen hit Susan's hand and she lost the letter opener on the ground and left. Kristen ordered a man who is looking for slave women to work for his master somewhere in the south. The man came and took Susan away. Kristen left the house dressed up like Susan, and Penelope showed up at the house looking for Susan. (Remember she's dressed up like Kristen.) While Penelope's outside of the house, standing front of the pool, Laura showed up and assumed that the woman who was standing outside is Kristen. So she decided to shoot her with her eyes closed, and left. The bullet didn't actually hit Penelope, it hit Celeste!! Then a while later, Ewund showed up at the house too and assumed the same thing. He pushed "Kristen" but really Penelope into the pool and pushed her head
in the water 'til she drowned.
So, at the funeral for "Kristen Blake" with Penelope Banks inside the casket, Kristen who is dressed up as Susan thought she had killed Susan. Wrong, She did not kill anyone. Ewund killed Penelope. Susan was held captive and works as dancing girl for a master, then she managed to escape from the place. She flew back to America and found Kristen and had her taken away back to the place where Kristen had sent Susan. Susan found out that Ewund accidentally killed her sister, and she forgives her. She blames everything on Kristen. So, Kristen's stuck somewhere in the world. Susan and Ewund went back to England and got married! Sister Mary and everyone still think Kristen is dead. Nope, Kristen's gone. Penelope's in the casket with the gravestone as "Kristen Blake." The last show of Eileen Davidson working with Days of our Lives was when she realized that Susan's still alive and got her life back with Elvis Jr. Kristen cried to death in the cell.
Pretty confusing and weird, eh? That's why I really loved Eileen and her hard work with DAYS! I'll miss her!
