The first event will be the unveiling of the BB-18 bell at 12:00. Lt. Governor Rell will be on hand for the unveiling. Afterwards, we will go to the House Chamber where the officers and crew will receive an official citation from the General Assembly. From there we will go to the Senate for another official welcome. Please note one important point: Wednesday is likely to a very busy day at the Capitol. As a result, our appearences in the legislative chambers may be somewhat rushed, and the chambers themselves may be crowded. In fact, the Master at Arms in these chambers might ask that only the crewmembers enter the chambers. If that develops we (the committee members) will go to the observation galleries above. Upon exiting the Senate chamber we will have concluded our business at the Capitol. Following our business at the Capitol, Carl Carbone, owner of Carbone's Restaurant Group has invited our officers and crew to his restaurant on Franklin St. He intends to set out a buffet-style meal including a side of beef, gratis. (I'm hopeful that among the committee members we will cover an appropriate tip!) If you expect to be able to attend the afternoon luncheon at Carbone's, I'd appreciate it if you would call the office and leave (860) 405-9074 so that I can get a somewhat accurate head count to Carl. Please help us demonstrate our spirited support for our ship by attending the events at the Capitol - if possible! Thank you!!! 1
