Girm the Old
Gorm was a viking King of Denmark. His father was Hardeknud. His wifes name
was Thyri, and he raised a runic stone in her honor that read, "Gorm made this memorial
to his wife Thyri amender (or adornment or glory) of Denmark. He had a son, Harald
Bluetooth, and a daughter, Gunnhild (the mother of Kings). The most significant
thing he did was bring together smaller kingdoms to make a bigger Denmark.
