The Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Pin is Issued to enlisted personnel for thier knowledge and expertise level. The canidate who qualifies has to complete a check list which teaches them the majority of Naval Avaition. Then they have to take a written exam. Then they have to complete a Oral Board. Upon completion of everything above they are awarded the Pin from the Commanding Officer.
As of this year the program is being rewrote. As of this point there has not been a requalification process. Starting 1999 there is going to be a requalification and a requal done everytime a person change commands.
