HAMM VS BACON

 Paul ([email protected]))

The young attorney leaned back in his deep leather chair to consider the case of Hamm vs Bacon. Taylor Hamm was suing Fred Bacon. Hamm was a retired school teacher who contended that the Investment Firm of Bacon and Sausage had mismanaged her retirement fund. Her nest egg was gone. Bacon, and his partner, Patty Sawsedge, claimed that they had followed her instructions to a t. They had advised her against investing in commodities. Pork bellies are too volatile, they had said. Hamm alleged that they were like a fox loose in a henhouse.

The attorney, Francois Frenchy Tose, massaged his temples. He hoped they settled it out-of-court. Hamm was notorious for over-acting; which would not sit well with Judge Gius. Judge Antonio Orange Gius was noted for his fiery temple that matched his bright orange hair. And Bacon and Sawsedge were not above breaking a few eggs to make an omelet.

A plan hatched in Toses brain. His mother could suddenly become quite ill, necessitating him to visit her in Little Egg Harbor. No he thought. That would be unprofessional. Hed have to get all his ducks in a row, and be prepared for the trial.
