Halloween, that hallowed night,
when children hold themselves afright,
and ghosts and goblins stir about
the neighborhood, inside and out,
and mommies tuck their littles in
after their daddies bring them in
with bags afull and tricks all done,
to then await next morning's sun
arising on another day,
to eagerly awake and say
"I'm gonna count my treats and gum,
and wait another hallowed day to come!".
