On Taking A Pawn, In Limerical Long Form
by Shan

LaCroix'd waited too long for Nick,
In a part of town he didn't pick,
Then to his suprize,
With his very own eyes,
He saw the pawn that would make Nick be quick.

He said "Nick and I would watch a show,
But at this rate I think we won't go,
For Nick is always too late,
And I haven't yet ate.
I think it's high time that I blow."

Now Natalie was flown as he willed,
And her heart had nearly been stilled.
With his jealous Master,
She was bound for disaster.
Realizing this she became chilled.

LaCroix said "Now Doctor, don't fret,
I am not quite that hungry yet.
If I sip of you tonight,
My angry son might
Put my nudes on the Internet.

"See, he is the light of my life,
But also the source of my strife.
And a temper has he,
Which fills me with glee,
And pleases me more than a wife."

Doctor Lambert began to surmise,
Although it was a quite suprize,
That he and Brabant,
They could only want
To feel love in each other's eyes.

Now Natalie was feeling quite had
By one little crusading lad.
For leading her on
Six years, 'til it dawned
On her that he loved his own Dad.

Nat shouted, "That nitwit shall pay,
For every lingering day
He led me on all the while,"
And that filled her with bile,
"Not to mention not getting a lay!"

LaCroix laughed, "Don't worry too much.
Our detective is one of such
Abilities in bed,
And deviance in head,
One night yet you might have his touch.

"Just don't try to get in my way,
you'll have second chance to play.
He's mine, I saw him first,
so for him you will thirst,
before having your roll in the hay."

Nat hated being left sloppy seconds,
and figures, "LaCroix surely reckons
I'm eager enough to wait.
But to hell with that fate!
Janette's bed to me does beckon."

LaCroix let her down with a laugh,
while she hardly gave a gaff.
With his daughter, she'd play,
And he'd have all day
To torment his fav'rites great staff.

The upset cop finally found,
his father, who'd been flying around.
"You've played mouse and cat
with my darling friend Nat,
and flown her all over town.

"Now look at the state that you're in,
Quite the mess, and it's to my chagrin.
I will fly you right now
To my loft, we'll see how
To engage ourselves in some little sin."
