Gene as the prima ballerina in a fantasy ballet in honour of the Mimosa blossom.
Doll, costume and leotard set are donated to the City of Angels Ballet Academy by Don Brooks and Anne-Marie Burns. All proceeds from the auction of the "Mimosa" ballerina, will go to the Academy to benefit the young artists.

A ballerina must warm up her muscles before a performance. The lycra leotard and hand knit, pale pink leg warmers are by Don Brooks who also donated the Hello Hollywood, Hello Gene doll.

Concept was designed by Don Brooks. Costume was designed by Anne-Marie Burns of La Petite Boutique.
Gene has been re-styled and re-painted by Anne-Marie. The tutu is cream brocade garnished with hand sewn and applied pearls, opalescent glass beads and opalescent sequins. The tutu is supported with many layers of pale pink tulle. The pointe shoes are hand made from brocade and the soles are suede. Included with the doll and leotard set are the floral head dress, hand beaded snood with silver glass bugle beads, crystals and opalescent glass beads, pointe shoes, pearl earrings and certificate for the one of a kind Gene as the prima ballerina in "Mimosa".
Any inquiries about the doll or costumes must be directed to Don Brooks. Any inquiries about the Ballet Academy must be directed to Mario Nugara, Director. The doll will be shipped to the high bidder by the donor upon acknowledgement of receipt of payment from Mr. Nugara. Payment is to be made within 7 days after the close of bidding in the eBay auction, to The City of Angels Ballet Academy. Mailing information is available at the top of this page.
